The silk road helped China discover places like Rome, Syria, India, and Persia. Silk fiber comes out of a silk worm's cocoon. Silk is a fiber that is used to make cloth. It's strong, warm, light, and soft. In the Han Dynasty revealing the silk-making process was a crime and punishable by death. Along the eastern part of the silk road traders usually had silk, fine dishware, ornaments, jewelry, cast-iron products, and decorative boxes.
